Automatically Stack Cards in iCardSort

Stack Cards with iCardSortI’m happy to announce a new feature in iCardSort that lets you automatically stack all the cards in a single stack in the middle of the screen.

You’ve always been able to manually create stacks (that’s the whole point of the app), manually create a single stack and to scatter the cards with a menu option but now you can also bring all the cards together into a single stack.

The app has become popular for many uses including education. People use it for all kinds of categorization, brain storming, teaching, research, planning and all kinds of sorts. Sometimes its useful to shuffle and scatter the cards to be sorted and sometimes it is less distracting to put them in one stack and sort the card on top.

I hope you enjoy this new flash cards style feature.

Thank you.

Julio

iCardSort 1.7.0

I’m happy to announce a new version of iCardSort is now available. This version updates iCardSort for iOS8 and beyond and fixes many subtle and annoying bugs. Plus it adds:

  • NEW Export and import one or more decks at the same time.
  • NEW Use the new “Open In” to open/save decks in other applications.
  • NEW Share screen shots of your deck with friends on social networks.
  • IMPROVED Receive, Beam, and Blast decks is more reliable.

You can get it here on the app store. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.

Thanks for your support.

Julio

First Beta build

This is quick post to let you know that the first beta build just went out to testers. There is still time and room on the list if you want to get involved, see the next features and help shape the app. Just get in touch through the contact form and let me know.

“One of the best ways to help kids construct their own understanding of content is through sorting.”

Also, iCardSort was recently in this article by Paul France. If you have stories on how you use the app or decks you want to share let me know. I’d be more than happy to post decks, retweet, etc and help share your work.
